“If we let ourselves, we shall always be waiting for some distraction or other to end before we can really get down to our work. The only people who achieve much are those who want knowledge so badly that they seek it while the conditions are still unfavorable. Favorable conditions never come.”

“Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of - throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.”
– C.S. Lewis

“If I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.”

What book are you currently reading?
I seem to have a difficult time finishing books, so I have many that I am “currently reading”… maybe because I never want them to end.
-The Bible
-The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis
-The Final Quest by Rick Joyner
-The Return of the King by J.R.R Tolkien
-Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
-Face to Face With God by Bill Johnson
-The Scottish Chiefs by Jane Porter
My goal is to finish them this summer and start some new ones as well. :)
